An event agency from the Allgäu built igloos for team building and events. That sparked the idea of building an entire hotel out of snow – a lifelong dream. Since 2009 the Iglu Lodge has stood on the Nebelhorn for about three months every winter, as long as the snow lasts.
Every igloo is a snow sculpture, and the bar is made of pure ice. Artists from the Allgäu design the lodge with a new theme every season. Today the lodge is run by Spirits of Nature GmbH from Burgberg.

Germany’s longest valley run starts on the Nebelhorn. Add to that winter hiking trails and the sun terrace at the mountain station.
130 km of slopes, 48 lifts, two countries: the Nebelhorn is part of a network with Fellhorn, Kanzelwand, Walmendingerhorn, Söllereck, Ifen and Heuberg.
They welcome you at the mountain station, show you around the lodge, serve the fondue and wake you with hot tea in the morning.
